The Mines and Minerals division develops and maintains a number of online applications which allow industry and the general public to access land tenure and geoscience information online.

Applications are monitored weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT - 5:00). Any issues outside of these hours will be addressed the next business day.

On April 10, 2018, MLAS will become the system through which claim holders will manage their mining lands online on a 24/7 basis. The program ensures that prospectors and exploration proponents are informed before they engage in prospecting and exploration activity.

OGSEarth provides geoscience data, collected by the Mines and Minerals division, which can be viewed using user-friendly geographic information programs such as Google Earth.
