Maps and reports in hard-copy (paper) format and digital data sets available on physical media (CD or DVD) can be purchased from the Publication Sales office. Publications can be downloaded for free from the GeologyOntario application or by following the links provided in this release notice. In cases where the file size is prohibitive for downloading, please contact the Publication Sales office to obtain the data on physical media (CD for $20.00; DVD for $25.00).

Once again, staff of the Mines and Minerals Division, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines will be participating in the annual Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario Mines and Minerals Symposia in Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie, respectively. Ministry staff will be presenting posters and talks on recent field work, geoscience projects and initiatives, and summaries of current exploration activities in Ontario. The symposia provide an excellent forum for members of Ontario’s prospector, mining and exploration community to gather for the exchange of geoscience and exploration information. Miscellaneous Release—Data 307
Geological, Geochemical and Geophysical Data Related to the Rowan Lake Area, Superior Province; by D. Lewis. This digital release complements geological mapping results recently published as Preliminary Map P.3766, Precambrian Geology of the Rowan Lake Area, Northwestern Ontario, and contains geochemical, geochronological, and magnetic susceptibility data, and photographs hyperlinked to a geodatabase in ESRI® ArcGIS® 9.3 format on a MNR digital base map. The geochemical, geochronological, and magnetic susceptibility data are provided as Microsoft® Excel® 2003 (.xls) spreadsheets. Digital photographs are provided in .jpg format. Location data are provided in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) projection and grid system, Zone 15, North American Datum 1983 (NAD83). Available on 1 DVD. $25.00.
