Ontario’s Spatial Data Update Completed in CLAIMaps

All nine mining divisions now contain current georeferenced data

With the addition this week of data from the Thunder Bay Division, all nine mining divisions in Ontario now feature updated information that more accurately presents the location of unpatented mining claims, leases and patents in CLAIMaps.

New Proposed Regulations Posted to Ontario Environmental and Regulatory Registries

Industry/Public Input Invited

The revocation and replacement of two existing Mining Act regulations are the latest proposed regulatory changes being put forward for public input. This is part of Ontario’s work to implement online mining claim registration and an electronic Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS).

New Conversion Demonstration Tool Available in CLAIMaps

We have updated and enhanced our CLAIMaps IV application in preparation for the implementation of the Aggregate Resources and Mining Modernization Act (Bill 39). This new version launched recently and includes a new online Claim Conversion Demonstration and Claim Boundary Report (CBR) Tool.
