How to Keep your Prospector’s Licence Valid:

Take the Mining Act Awareness Program by November 1, 2014

If you have a prospector’s licence you must complete the Mining Act Awareness Program (MAAP) by November 1, 2014 to keep your licence valid.

If you don’t complete the MAAP by November 1, 2014 you won’t be able to stake a mining claim unless you obtain a new prospector’s licence. You will need to take the MAAP and pay the required fee to get a new prospector’s licence.

Georeference Your Claims Now

Ontario is proposing to implement online staking and online mining lands administration. If you aren’t certain that your mining claim is shown accurately on the current provincial claims map, you should georeference your claim and provide the data to the province.
