Visit the Ontario Pavilion at PDAC 2018

Mines and Minerals Division: 

Talk to an expert, explore Ontario’s geology, attend a seminar and find out more about Ontario’s mineral development and investment opportunities at the Ontario Pavilion at the 2018 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention.

The Ontario Pavilion is located on level 800 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (booth 637).

Exploration Plans and Permits table

Mines and Minerals Division: 

The Exploration Plans & Permits table (updated August 9, 2018) shows the submitted Plans and Permits. The table shows the Plan or Permit number, the project name, the claim holder, all affected claims, the project location, any activities taking place and a start and end date for the activities. Activities include mechanized drilling, geophysical work, mechanized stripping, pitting and trenching as well as line cutting.

MLAS Information Workshops Scheduled

Come Experience MLAS in a Hands-On Learning Session

The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines is currently holding detailed information workshops on how to access and work within Ontario’s new electronic 24/7 Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS). Ontario is moving to online mining claim registration and the full implementation of the new MLAS on April 10, 2018.

Workshops are planned across the province over the coming weeks. We are also reaching out to Indigenous communities interested in learning more about MLAS.

SPECIAL EDITION

Stage 1 of Ontario’s new 24/7 Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS) goes into service today at 10 a.m. At this time, the system is available for mining lands clients to enrol, set up their new client profile, and explore some of the features of the system. Stage 2 will launch April 10, marking the beginning of online mining claim registration in Ontario.
