Mines and Minerals Division: 

The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) will present a number of seminars at the 2017 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annual convention at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 5-8. From geoscience expertise provided by the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS), to strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities, ministry staff will help you explore Ontario’s mineral development and investment opportunities.

We Will Need Your Up-to-Date Mailing Address

Contingent upon legislation (Bill 39) being passed, all existing MNDM mineral exploration and development clients would be notified by mail with instructions to register their client profile in the new Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS). For that reason, you should ensure that we have your current mailing address on file.

MAM Update - Special Edition - January 2017

Mines and Minerals Division: 

Sault Ste. Marie Mining Division Spatial Data Now Available

New spatial data for the Sault Ste. Marie Mining Division is now available on CLAIMaps. Other divisions for which spatial data can currently be viewed include the Kenora, Red Lake, Patricia, and Southern Ontario Mining Divisions. Over the coming year, this new data will be made available for the other mining divisions as they are updated.

Recommendations for Exploration, 2016–2017

Mines and Minerals Division: 

Recommendations for Exploration across Ontario have been released for 2016–2017. The recommendations are generated annually by staff of the Ontario Geological Survey from research, field programs and areas of industry activity.
