Mines and Minerals Division: 

The Ontario Mining & Exploration Directory provides an annual overview of mining operations and mine development projects as well as contact information for metallic and non metallic mineral producers and active exploration companies in Ontario. Production and employment information is also provided for the metallic and industrial mineral producers. The directory is produced annually by the Ontario Prospector's Association.

Ontario Launches Online Mining Claims

Province Completes Process to Modernize Mining Act

Today, Ontario is transitioning to an online, electronic Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS), replacing the province’s century-old traditional ground-staking methods and completing multi-phased efforts to modernize the Mining Act. The new online self-service system will allow anyone with a prospector's licence to register a claim — seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
