Thursday, November 07, 2002 -- Smiles and cheques were plentiful in Parry Sound today, as Northern Development and Mines Minister and Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) Chair Jim Wilson announced Ontario government investments totalling some $3.1million in in local infrastructure projects. Thursday, November 07, 2002 -- The Canadian National Institute for the Blind's reconstruction project at its Lake Joseph Holiday Centre will benefit from a $1-million provincial investment through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund. The CNIB has operated a recreation and rehabilitation centre in Seguin Township for 40 years. The centre serves people of all ages, from all parts of the province, who are blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind or living with another disability.
