Wednesday, August 13, 2008 -- Kenora area tourist outfitters were presented with commemorative plaques celebrating the success of their businesses after receiving funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) in 1988, the fund’s inaugural year. Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle (far left) presented plaques to Lorilee Gordon of Houseboat Adventures, as well as to Judy and Bill Vivian of Perch Bay Resort. Joining them for the presentation is Kenora representative on the NOHFC board of directors, Dave Sinclair. The NOHFC is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. |
