Aboriginal Links

Mineral Development staff based in Timmins, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Kenora liaise regularly with mineral exploration and mining personnel who are active in traditional aboriginal territory. These staff also work closely with first nation communities and tribal councils to develop resource development strategies in anticipation of mineral exploration activity. Consequently, mineral development staff have become an important interface between aboriginal and mineral exploration interests in the province of Ontario.
