The Minerals Industry and Ontario's First Nations
- Aboriginal links – MNDM staff based in Timmins, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Tweed, Red Lake, Sault Ste. Marie and Kenora liaise regularly with mineral exploration and mining personnel who are active in traditional Aboriginal territory. These staff also work closely with First Nation communities and tribal councils to develop resource development strategies in anticipation of mineral exploration activity.
- Our Community...Our Future: Mining and Aboriginal Communities – Order a copy of this DVD, which describes the mining sequence from government geological surveying and mapping through the entire exploration and mining process, to mine closure and site rehabilitation.
