proper filing of assessment work and technical data

exploration work or file work on behalf of claim holders

What Is Assessment Work?
To keep the rights to explore and develop staked mining lands in
Ontario, clients must do exploration work on the lands and send a
record of their work to our ministry. Our Geoscience Assessment
Office makes sure that the work obeys the Mining Act and
regulations by asking for revisions, if necessary, and by
checking the costs of the work. Our staff tell claim holders what
the approved value of the assessment work is. We then send the
approved work to the Resident Geologist Offices and the
Assessment File Library.
