Welcome to the CLAIMaps Internet Application developed by the Mines and Minerals Division of the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. This site provide information on Mining Claims within the Province of Ontario. In keeping with the Government initiatives to make data more accessible to the public, this site also allows users to download map images as well as digital data. The map information at this site is normally updated every night.

Map Search

This site allows you to search mining claim information within the province. It also provides the ability to download map plots, land-related information, and vector data in the form of shape files. The information within this site is updated on a regular basis.

Order Maps Online

This site allows you to place an order for (paper) maps through our Information and Marketing Services section. Orders placed through this site will be verified by phone, and must be paid for by credit card prior to shipping. Orders will be sent out by mail or courier at the expense of the client.

Online Survey

This site provides access to the registry of staked mining claims related to unpatented mining claims in the Province of Ontario. The mining claims information at this site is normally updated every night.
