Assessment Work: Eligible Assays and Analyses

Assessment Work Regulation subsections 9(a)(iv), 10(2)(a)(v), 11(2)(j), 13(3), 16(3)(p), 17(b), and 18.1(1)(f)

Policy:

To be eligible for assessment work credit, assays and analyses of samples:

  1. must be performed by an accredited laboratory and/or a laboratory that has achieved at least ISO 9001 certification
  2. must be reported on the original or an unaltered copy of the Certificate of Analysis issued by the laboratory and must include:
    • all header information such as letter-head and company identifier (logo)
    • the date the samples were submitted to the laboratory and the date the certificate was issued
    • the signature of a qualified laboratory official (e.g. laboratory manager, head assayer, etc)

    Note: The only acceptable alteration to a certificate is the removal of samples, which are not being reported, using a black marker.

Assessment Work Regulations:

Following are quotes from the Assessment Work Regulation.

9. Prospecting work is eligible for assessment work credit if the holder of the claim submits ,

(a) a report ...

(iv) including all assays and analyses with their corresponding certificates.

10.(2) Physical work submitted for assessment work credit must be supported by

(a) a report...

(v) including all assays and analyses with their corresponding certificates

11. A geotechnical survey... report is submitted.

(2) The survey report must,

(j) include all assays and analyses with appropriate certificates

13(3) A geochemical survey is not eligible for assessment work credit unless copies of all the certified analytical results are submitted.

16(3) The drill hole logs must ...

(p) include assay values for sections assayed with appropriate certificates

17. The results of beneficiation, geochemical testing or other special studies of assaying and analyses are eligible for assessment work credit if the results

(b) where assays or analyses are reported, include the assay certificates

18.1 Any industrial mineral report submitted for assessment work credit must, ...

(1)(f) describe the method used to process the samples and the results and provide the appropriate certificates
