Government Information Centre staff do not provide any technical
information or interpretation of the Mining Act.

Services
Offered
- Will receive original documents
for mining lands in the Porcupine mining division.
- Clients may pay most fees under
the Mining Act.
- Telephone
transmission: In accordance with subsection
10 (1) of General Regulation 113/91, a Mining Act document can
be transmitted for a client to the Provincial Recording Office or
the Geoscience Assessment Office.
- Computer terminal available for the client,
client can access mining claim
maps, print sections of claim map
or order full sized maps through the Mines
Library. Clients can also access Mining Claims Information (MCI) and Mining Lands Website.
- Obtain: claims tags, application forms for a
prospector's licence or renewal
(the licence will be issued from the Provincial Recording Office in Sudbury).
- Mail drop-off box for any Mining Act document
for any mining division. If document is not for Porcupine,
it will be forwarded to Sudbury Office by
courier but we take no responsibility for delivery or time of
delivery.
