New Businesses Launched In Northwest

NOHFC logo McGuinty Government Supports Young Entrepreneurs

Ontario is strengthening the economy in the northwest by helping two young entrepreneurs in Kenora and Red Lake get new businesses up and running.

The province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) will help launch the following businesses:

  • Custom Drilling of Kenora - the company will provide drilling services for the mining industry and install commercial and/or residential steel supported docks and floats;
  • Red Lake Holistic Services of Red Lake - the company will provide holistic health services, such as Tai massage and energy medicine to the public.

  • The NOHFC’s Young Entrepreneur Program provides up to $25,000 to northern residents, aged 18 to 29, to start their own for-profit businesses in the North.
