NEWS

The Dryden Development Corporation (DDC) will evaluate a proposed waterfront development site that would boost the local economy, thanks to support from the Ontario government.

The DDC will receive $50,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to help conduct a business feasibility development plan.

This plan will look at specific opportunities identified in The City of Dryden Sustainable Waterfront Development Plan to responsibly develop a 125-acre parcel of property on the north shore of Wabigoon Lake in Northwestern Ontario.

QUOTE

“This initiative will help lay the foundation to grow a diversified, sustainable economy in the northwest. Not only will it benefit the region by identifying innovative ways to attract tourists, attract new investors and retain residents, the community’s quality of life will be improved for the long term.”
-  Minister Michael Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry
   and Chair of the NOHFC
