McGuinty Government Helps Community Build On Its Economic Strengths

Serpent River First Nation will strengthen its local economy by studying how other Canadian First Nations have successfully established effective economic development structures.
Funding from the Ontario government’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) will provide the First Nation’s economic development department with the research it needs to foster new business activity for the community.
Two permanent jobs are expected to be created once the study is completed.
