Through Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) assistance, the town will renovate the former St. Martin school.  The new facility will offer a number of services for children and adults such as recreational activities, community gatherings and computer training.  In addition, it will have improved accessibility and be the new home for the town’s library and the Superior Seniors Club.

Construction will create about 26 jobs and strengthen the local economy. The centre is scheduled to open in March 2010.
