Dryden Plans for Future Economic Development

McGuinty Government Supports Diversification Efforts

Ontario is supporting Dryden’s efforts to attract new business and strengthen its economy.
With the support of the Northern Communities Investment Readiness Program (NCIR), the Dryden Development Corporation is:
- taking an inventory of wood supplies in local forest management units;
- identifying investment properties suitable for manufacturing and processing facilities and;
- hosting a familiarization tour for a company that could manufacture local timber into wood products in the community.

QUICK FACTS
- The province supported this initiative with $13,970 from the Northern Communities Investment Readiness (NCIR) program.
- To date, more than $1.5 million in NCIR funding has been approved for 162 initiatives across the North.
