Espanola is examining how new and existing businesses can help strengthen the local economy.

With funding from the province’s Northern Communities Investment Readiness (NCIR) program, the municipality will complete two projects:

  • A market study to help find potential consumers for local companies, and
  • An analysis report comparing the business community’s actual and potential performances, with recommendations on how to improve its ability to grow.
QUOTE

“By evaluating its strengths and developing a plan of action, Espanola is demonstrating vision to establish new opportunities which will enhance the community’s economic future.”
-     Michael Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry

“The Town of Espanola is taking a proactive approach to strengthening its own economy by exploring potential for growth and new markets.”
-     Mike Brown, MPP for Algoma-Manitoulin
