McGuinty Government Invests In Young Entrepreneurs And Public Sector Initiative

The Ontario government is helping strengthen community infrastructure and supporting business expansion in the District of Parry Sound.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) has approved funding of more than $58,000 to launch the businesses of two young entrepreneurs. The funding will also help the Almaguin Highlands area develop a feasibility plan on the construction of a new multi-use community centre.

The Ontario government is helping strengthen community infrastructure and supporting business expansion in the District of Parry Sound. Funding announced today was provided through two programs of the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation:
Northern Ontario Young Entrepreneur Program
The NOHFC has approved funding of $25,000 to help Dr. Jennifer Kaster start her own naturopathic clinic in Parry Sound. The project will include the purchase of furnishings, advertising and equipment to launch the new business.
In addition, Ingrid Zschogner of Rosseau has been approved for funding of $16,280 to acquire equipment and furnishings for the opening of ‘Wildrose Designs Inc.’, a retail gift and antique outlet, which will also sell wood carvings and other hand made products.
Infrastructure and Community Development Program
The NOHFC will contribute $16,800 to a group of community partners in the Almaguin Highlands area for a feasibility study on the construction of a multi-use community centre that would be co-located at Almaguin Highlands Community Secondary School, which is located halfway between Sundridge and South River.
