Construction of a new multi-use centre in Ear Falls will give residents easier access to municipal services and create about 120 jobs.

Scheduled to open in March 2011 with Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) assistance, the centre will include municipal offices, meeting and training spaces, a day care, public library, tourist information centre, museum and fire hall.

It will also incorporate energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems to help reduce operational costs and provide a safe and healthy centre for staff and visitors.
