McGuinty Government Helping Strengthen Northern Economies

Ontario is supporting Nipigon’s efforts to attract new business and strengthen its economy.
Through the Northern Communities Investment Readiness Program (NCIR), the Township of Nipigon Development Corporation is:
- Updating its community profile on the Invest In Ontario website to attract investors in the environmental technology, tourism and government sectors and;
- Completing an asset inventory cataloguing available real estate, business statistics, health care services, natural resources, educational institutions and utilities and services.

QUICK FACTS
- The province supported these initiatives with $7,500.00 from the NCIR program.
- To date, more than $1.6 million in NCIR funding has been approved for 173 initiatives across the North.
