A new multi-use health centre on Sault College’s campus will offer greater access to local public health services and enhance programs for college students.

With Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) support, Algoma Public Health will build the centre to provide community health forums, emergency facilities, distance education and expanded space for Sault College health sciences programs.  The centre will also include four classrooms equipped with multi-media capabilities.

Construction has already begun and is expected to be completed by Spring 2011. This project will create about 200 construction-related jobs.
