Iroquois Falls Plans Future Business Development

McGuinty Government Helps Strengthen Northern Economies
NEWS
Iroquois Falls has a plan to attract new business and strengthen its economy.
Through the Northern Communities Investment Readiness Program (NCIR), Iroquois Falls Community Development Team, in collaboration with the Town of Iroquois Falls, and the North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation will:
- compile an electronic database of all local assets that relate to economic development within the community
- identify potential markets for new and existing industries
- identify gaps and other barriers to economic investment in the community
- develop an investment readiness plan
- Train staff to promote the town’s investment potential to prospective clients.

- The province is supporting Iroquois Falls’ initiatives to promote economic development with $45,000 from the NCIR program.
- To date, more than $1.6 million in NCIR funding has been approved for 173 initiatives across the North.
