New Multi-Use Centre Expansion Creates Jobs

The expansion of a multi-use centre in Markstay-Warren will give residents better access to health care and create jobs.

A second story is being added to the Warren Arena/Community Centre to meet increased needs for space. The new building will host the office for the community nurse practitioner, who is currently located in St. Charles. In addition, a dentist will also offer services from the expanded centre. The project also includes new municipal administration offices as well as commercial office space.

The project is expected to create up to six new jobs.

QUICK FACTS

  • The NOHFC is providing funding of $916, 450 to the project through its Infrastructure and Community Development Program.
  • The new project follows the municipality’s Strategic Plan, which focuses on stimulating the municipal economy and improving the community’s health care services.
