In January 2005, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) unveiled its refocused mandate with six new programs designed to foster job creation and strengthen the economies of our northern communities.  

Since then, the NOHFC has partnered with northerners on hundreds of projects and opportunities across the North. Together, we are exploring new innovations in emerging technologies, providing exciting career opportunities for northern youth, forging strong private and public sector partnerships and enhancing the vital infrastructure that makes Northern Ontario a vibrant place to live and work.  

The NOHFC has been listening to your feedback, and in an effort to better serve your needs, we are pleased to introduce enhancements to our existing programs. The aim of these newly revised programs is to advance our capacity to work with northern entrepreneurs, businesses and youth to build a strong economy, while continuing to support community development projects that enhance quality of life in Northern Ontario.  

We welcome you to speak with our representatives from our offices across the North about projects that are important to you or your community. We encourage you to continue to bring forth new initiatives. And we look forward to working with you to support and cultivate the opportunities that will create a stronger, more prosperous North.
