Did You Know?
- In 1896 E.M. Burwash, a geologist with the Ontario Bureau of Mines, found traces of gold in quartz veins just a few miles south of the Dome gold mine. This mine has produced gold for 98 years (1910-2008).
The Summer Jobs Service program is provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and delivered in Northern Ontario by our ministry.
For employers who hire summer students, the program provides $2.00 per hour in wage subsidies up to $1,120 per position.
