Assistance for all matters related to the Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS) is available by calling us toll-free at 1-888-415-9845 (choose the Provincial Recording Office – Option 1). This toll-free line is staffed Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. At any time, clients may leave a voice message and we will return the call in accordance with Ontario’s Quality Service Standards.


The Mines and Minerals division develops and maintains a number of online applications which allow industry and the general public to access land tenure and geoscience information online.

Applications are monitored weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT - 5:00). Any issues outside of these hours will be addressed the next business day.

Registered users enter MLAS here to conduct their business. To access MLAS you must first hold a valid prospector’s licence and create an account with Ontario’s ONe-key unique electronic credential system. You may also download our MLAS user guide.

Mining Act Awareness Program

The Mining Act Awareness Program (MAAP) is an online training course that provides information on the basics of the Mining Act and its provisions and regulations. The program ensures that prospectors and exploration proponents are informed before they engage in prospecting and exploration activity.

If you are completing MAAP to conduct business with ENDM and/or to satisfy a mandatory requirement under the Mining Act, please first register in The Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS) and complete MAAP through the application.

GeologyOntario is an online warehouse that contains all of the publically available digital data collected by the Mines and Minerals division. All data is available for download and can be discovered by using attribute-based search.


OGSEarth provides geoscience data, collected by the Mines and Minerals division, which can be viewed using user-friendly geographic information programs such as Google Earth.
