Province Investing in Economic Development and Job Creation in the North

Ontario is investing in the establishment of a software solutions and development centre in Sault Ste. Marie that will serve small to medium-sized businesses and create 30 jobs.
With funding from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), The Createch Group will establish a new centre in Sault Ste. Marie that will help businesses use software to improve productivity.

Ontario is supporting communities across the North in developing plans and initiatives that will attract new investments and grow local economies.

The province’s Northern Communities Investment Readiness (NCIR) program offers grants to First Nations, municipalities and economic development corporations in Northern Ontario to support initiatives that will better position their communities to attract and develop new investments.

Since 2015, the NCIR program has approved more than $877,000 for 68 investment projects, including:
